TITLE: Custom CNC Machinist and Programmer
REPORTS TO:
Custom Department Manager
BASED AT:
Harken USA, Waukesha, Wisconsin
STATUS:
Full-Time, Non-Exempt
JOB PURPOSE:

Provide a high level of programming and machining skills to support CNC operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Machining a variety of materials compliant with the engineered drawings
  • Maintain an up-to-date production schedule
  • Maintain work area, machines and tools
  • Ensure the highest level of quality
  • Must communicate changes accurately and effectively
  • Ability to program and set-up complicated machined parts
  • Ability to maintain schedules to maximize work flow

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalency and five to seven years-experience in a manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent knowledge of machining practices, Mills experience preferred
  • Custom low run/R&D experience
  • Advanced understanding of tooling and grades
  • CAM programming experience and set up skills a MUST, MasterCAM preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Journeyman's card preferred
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to sit; use both hands to finger, feel or handle objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands or arms. The employee is required to stand and walk for up to 4 hours on concrete; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
